A Cool Capital for Great Meetings
Ljubljana Convention Bureau is the source of objective and expert advice on meeting venues and suppliers in the Slovenian capital – an upcoming destination that proudly wore the European Green Capital 2016 title as a champion in sustainable development. We strive to be a valuable and professional local adviser with many insiders’ tips, representing a shortcut to prospective meeting planners in finding the best solution or local partner for staging an event in Ljubljana. We provide you with objective information on conference facilities, service providers, and incentive and teambuilding programmes available in Ljubljana and the region of Central Slovenia. Our main task is promoting Ljubljana as a destination for different types of international association meetings and corporate events, offering strategic support and guidance in developing congress products and services, and enabling collaboration between key local service providers.

Few words on Ljubljana With 285,000 residents, Ljubljana is a compact, walking city built to the human scale and is, as such, often depicted as a welcoming lounge by conference delegates. It features a wealth of history, style, arts and culture, and an atmosphere that is both Central European and Mediterranean. Many would add it is a safe, green, multilingual and hospitable city.

Easily accessible, within two hours’ flight from the major European hubs, Ljubljana provides an array of meeting facilities that can welcome up to 2,200 delegates, encompassing two congress centres, convention and seminar hotels, and academic venues. Quite a few are located in the downtown pedestrian area. Moreover, the choice of special event venues in the city centre often surprises clients.

The capital also represents an ideal departure point to quickly reach many of Slovenia’s attractions, among which one finds original settings for incentive programmes or outdoor events.

With the dedicated support of experienced and creative destination partners, Ljubljana strives to deliver a professional and authentic experience with a strong personal touch and very good value for money!
